A Roane State Community College official will discuss financial aid for college students in a noon meeting on Monday at the Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church.
Tina Long is financial aid director at the college. She will discuss financial aid during a general meeting and luncheon of the AAUW, Oak Ridge Branch.
The meeting is in the Social Hall of the Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church at 1500 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

Officers for next year (2013-2014) will be elected at a brief business meeting before the program and a report given on the recent State AAUW Convention in Murfreesboro, at which Mayme Crowell, former branch president, was elected to be state president. The luncheon, which will be prepared by members of AAUW, will be served at 11:30 a.m. with the meeting beginning at noon.
The menu for the luncheon will include ham, fruit and green salads, vegetable dishes, rolls, iced tea, coffee, and desserts.
Those attending are asked to contribute to the Local Education Projects Fund, which funds AAUW scholarships for women students at Roane State. The students who apply are “non-traditional†students who have delayed beginning their studies for various reasons. Scholarship Awards for 2013 will be presented at the next AAUW meeting in May
AAUW‘s mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.
