Covenant Health is offering a community program on Tuesday with free screenings and reduced-cost blood work, a press release said.

Free screenings will include blood pressure, body composition and body mass index, heart rhythm, carotid artery ultrasound, and vision.

Other low-cost screenings will include:

  • Complete blood count (CBC)—$15. Test includes red and white blood cell count, hematocrit, platelets, etc.
  • Thyroid (thyroid stimulating hormone)—$20
  • Prostate specific antigen (PSA prostate cancer screening) for men—$20
  • C-reactive protein (high sensitivity)—$20. Measures heart disease risk and indicates arterial inflammation, especially recommended for those whose cholesterol and blood pressure are above desirable levels.
