The Oak Ridge Police Department has identified a robbery suspect who allegedly stole $56 in cash and 387 oxycontin pills from the Kmart pharmacy last week.

The suspect has been identified as Jeramiah Frederick Webb, 35, of Morgan County, ORPD Lt. Robin Smith said Wednesday. Webb’s last known address was in Lancing, Smith said.

Smith said the suspect gave a note to a pharmacy clerk at the Kmart on South Illinois Avenue at about 9:45 a.m. Feb. 26, demanding money and Percocet. He allegedly fled on foot with the money and oxycontin.

Smith said he is not aware of any weapon being displayed during the robbery, and no one was hurt.

Police have taken out warrants against Webb, and they described him as a white man, 6’1″ and 160 pounds, with dark hair.

I think that it is a really good idea for pharmacies to have all narcotics stored in timed-lock safes.

The K-Mart pharmacy was robbed again at gunpoint on Tuesday afternoon/evening. Don’t know if the two incidents were related.
