The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce Business Retail Development Council is hosting the second in a series of “Buy Local Mob Scenes†from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at ACE Hardware in Clinton.
The purpose of the “Buy Local†Mob is to help the community learn about Chamber members’ products and services.
“Additionally, by spending your money in the community in which you live, work or play, you are strengthening its overall financial economy,” a press release said. “For example, sales tax dollars fund the three local school systems alleviating the need for potentially new tax increases. The infusion of dollars into our local businesses is a win-win for everyone.”
The release said those who have “Buy Local, Stay Local” shoppers cards will receive 5 percent off everything, or they can buy one air filter and receive one free.
ACE Hardware in Clinton is located at 929 N. Charles Seivers Blvd.
For more information, call the Chamber at (865) 457-2559 or visit: www.andersoncountychamber.org to view additional “Buy Local Stay Local†merchants and their discounts. “Buy Local Stay Local†shoppers cards are available at the Chamber.
Jason Allison says
The Chamber is very bad with their misguided attempts to, what they say, bring a better corporate atmosphere. They have been a large reason why Oak Ridge has lost it’s shine. If your business isn’t on their “good” list, you get looked over. We need a group that dosen’t have a vested interest in the “elite” club.
