Donald Holbrook Jr., age 49, of Andersonville, passed away on Jan. 7 at his home.
He was born in Chicago, Ill. Donald enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He served in the Kentucky National Guard for 12 years.
Donald is survived by his parents, Donald Sr. and Janice Holbrook of Andersonville; daughters, Wendy and husband Adam Mitchell, Nickie Holbrook, and Heather Holbrook, all of Andersonville; sister, Diane Sellers and husband Charles of Cumberland, Ky.; brother, Steve Holbrook and Derrick of Clinton; grandson, Timothy Mitchell of Andersonville; granddaughter, Haley Mitchell of Andersonville; niece, Candice Sellers of Knoxville; and nephew, Harley Sellers of Cumberland, Ky.
Donald’s family received friends Wednesday, Jan. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., and the funeral service followed in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Freddie Bean officiating. Donald’s interment will be Thursday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Andersonville Cemetery with full military honors.
Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
