Doyle Cook, age 54, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, at his residence.
He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. Doyle also loved fishing and playing guitar. He was a member of Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church in Clinton.
Doyle was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Cook; brother, Brownlow Cook; sister, Magaline Cook; and granddaughter, Layla Fayth Dotson.
Doyle is survived by his mother, Cleda Cook of Clinton; wife, Wanda Cook of Clinton; daughters, Melissa St. Clair, Brenda Cook, both of Lake City, and Catina Cook of Clinton; brothers, Houston Cook and wife Margaret of Heiskell, Oscar Cook and wife Pat of Lake City, Olen Cook and Thurston Cook, both of Clinton; sisters, Thelma Cook of Clinton, and Arlene Bridges of Friendsville; and sister-in-law, Connie Cook of Clinton. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Tyler, Mikayla, Lea, Austin, Shayla, Alisha, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Doyle’s family received his friends on Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary.
His funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Bro. Robert Jones officiating. Doyle’s interment will follow his service at Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton.
