Bobby Jerald Price, age 65, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Friday, July 20, at Methodist Medical Center.

Mr. Price was born Sept. 21, 1946, in White County, Ark. He has lived in Oliver Springs for the past 6 years. Before moving to Tennessee, he lived in Arkansas and California.

Bobby retired in 2004 as a general manager at the Ramada Inn in Oxford, Miss. He had previously worked as a freight broker for News Transport in Memphis.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Mildred Louise Price, and by brothers, H.L. Price, Bennie Price, and Leroy “Cotton” Price.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Betty Hall Price of Oliver Springs; by a daughter, Erika Nicole Rainey of Beebe, Ark.; by a son, Todd Douglas Price of McRae, Ark.; and by grandchildren, Jasmine Rainey and Madison Price.

He is also survived by a special aunt, Katherine Stark of Searcy, Ark.; by nieces, Angie Russell and husband Jimmy, Dianna Petray and husband Michael, Lynn Heffner and husband Lynn, and Lisa Cook and husband Larry; by a nephew, Dennis Price and wife; by special family, the “Hoots and Hooters”; by sister-in-laws, Becky Melton and Punkin Raby; by nieces, Donetta Harvey and husband John, Jennifer Rowe and husband Jeff; a nephew, Christopher and fiancee’ Miranda and son Corey; and many special friends, including a very special friend, Eddie Raby.

Additionally he is survived by his inseparable companion, Prissy.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 22, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Smith and Pastor Robbie Leach officiating.

Additionally, the family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 24, between 6 and 8 p.m. with the funeral following at 8 p.m. with Pastor Cathy DeBusk officiating at Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe, Ark.

Burial and graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 25, at 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time, at the Weir Cemetery in McRae, Ark.

Sharp Funeral Home in Tennessee and Westbrook Funeral Home in Arkansas are serving the Price family.
