Tennessee INT, International Novice Tour, is coming to the Oak Ridge Marina on Saturday, July 14, with their free Amateur Wakeboard and Wakeskate Tour. This will be their fourth stop in the tour, according to a press release from Tennessee INT.

Registration fees will apply to those who compete and they must have a WWA/INT membership, which can be purchased online or at the event. Registration begins at 9 a.m., a rider’s meeting is at 9:30 and the opening ceremonies are at 10 a.m.

For those who are familiar with the wakeboard competitions, the Outlaw Riders will not run last at this event like they normally do, but will run around lunch time instead, the release said.

The event will have DJ Jason Lilley, professional photographer Allen Mueller from ALM Photo, vendors, food and more.

Go online to www.intleague.com/tennessee or see their Facebook page for more information and photos from previous events.

Awesome. Congrats to those involved for landing the competition. Oak Ridge should do more to highlight and leverage the incredible outdoor assets Anderson County has been blessed with: Haw Ridge, the rowing center, Windrock, and the incredible drive/ride up Hwy 116 (aka Mount Larry). I’d love to see more of this kinda stuff in town.

Tourist money is the best! Studies show it is recycled several times in the tourist town.

These wakeboard competitors are tough stuff! I plan to see more of their craft on Saturday. Truly meritorious.

Anyone see the wakeboarding event on Saturday? I was out of town, was wondering if they had a good crowd.
