Earlene Bray Lowe, age 71, a resident of Knoxville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 3.
Earlene was born to the late Elijah and Cora Kennedy Bray on Sept. 23, 1940.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy H. Lowe; by a son, Tommy Lowe Jr.; by brothers, Arley and Harlan Bray; and by sisters, Helen Bray and Betty Nicely.
Mrs. Lowe is survived by daughters, Gail Mayfield and husband, Leland of Lake City, Patsy Grodeman of Knoxville, and Peggy Sue Brown of Powell; by a son, Jimmy Lowe of Knoxville; by a sister, Lois Shoopman of Oliver Springs; and by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.
Before her retirement, she was employed as a CNA for 25 years at Hillcrest South HCC in Knoxville.
She enjoyed attending worship services at Bethlehem Baptist Church, singing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her special outings with her son, Jimmy.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 6, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Louis Branch officiating.
Burial and graveside services will be held Saturday, July 7, at 10 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
