Steven Garry McPeters, age 29, a precious son, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 19, following an extended illness.
Steven was born, October 22, 1982, in Knoxville. He was a lifelong resident of Oliver Springs.
Steven was a Christian and a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and all outdoor activities. He was employed as a concrete polisher in the construction business.
McPeters was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Elmer Lively; by an uncle, Vic Lively; and by an aunt, Lena Bunch.
Steven is survived by his parents, Wendell and Sena Lively McPeters of Oliver Springs; by a sister, April McPeters of Clinton; by maternal grandmother, Etta Lively of Oliver Springs; by paternal grandparents, Leon and Faye McPeters of Wartburg; by nephews, Isaac and Jaydon McPeters; by aunts, Sheila Collins of Kingston and Alice Wilson of Wartburg; by an uncle, Leon McPeters Jr. of Wartburg; and by a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 22, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charles Yancy and Pastor Wayne Morgan officiating.
Burial and graveside services will be held Saturday, June 23, at 10 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Steven is a son who will forever be missed. We will always love you.
