Jesse Huckaby

Jesse Huckaby, age 70, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, June 20, at Tennova Medical Center in Knoxville.

Jesse loved the Lord and was a member of Glory Way Baptist Church in Clinton.

Everybody that knew Jesse loved him. Jesse worked with C.U.B. for 35 years. He loved nature, fishing, looking at God’s creations, streams, rivers, and national parks.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Everet and Grace Huckaby ,and first wife, Mary LaRue Huckaby.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Cynthia Huckaby of Clinton; sons, Jesse Lynn Huckaby and Bobby Franklin Huckaby of Clinton; stepsons, Paul House and wife Kelly of Union County and James Huckaby and wife Clara of Nashville; brothers, Charles Huckaby of Clinton and Wayne Huckaby of Oak Ridge; sister, Lucille Huckaby of Clinton; and a niece and her daughter, Mary Ann Phillips and Angela of Clinton.

Jesse also leaves behind grandchildren, Dameon Huckaby and Christopher and Trevor House, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jesse’s family will receive his friends on Thursday, June 21, from 6-8 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Doyle Flatford officiating.

His interment will be Friday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
