The Anderson County Democratic Party officially opens its campaign headquarters from 5:30-7 p.m Thursday. The party will celebrate the opening with hot dogs, chips, and iced beverages, and the public is invited, a press release said.

Seating is limited, so bringing a chair is recommended, the release said.

The headquarters will be the focal point for party activities such as phone work, strategic planning, and distribution of campaign literature, as well as group meetings.

Visit the headquarters from 4-7 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Volunteers are welcomed, the press release said.

The headquarters is located at 136 South Illinois Ave., Suite 102.
