A University of Tennessee assistant professor will lead a discussion on urban forestry and a potential Oak Ridge tree survey on Thursday.
The talk starts at 7 p.m. at Roane State Community College in Oak Ridge and features Sharon Jean-Philippe, an assistant urban forestry professor and member of the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council.
Jean-Phillipe is interested in street tree health and will be conducting a street and park tree inventory for the city of Oak Ridge, according to a press release.
Thursday’s program is sponsored by the University of Tennessee Arboretum Society, a nonprofit organization that helps further the goals and programs of UT’s 250-acre Arboretum in Oak Ridge.
