Asphalt resurfacing work expected to begin this week will require lane or road closures on South Illinois Avenue, Robertsville Road, and Oak Ridge Turnpike.
The project, which could last two weeks, could start around Thursday, a city press release said.
Rogers Group Inc. of Oak Ridge will mill damaged asphalt surfaces and then replace them with new pavement.
The work is being done at northbound South Illinois Avenue near Lafayette Drive, Robertsville Road at Jefferson Avenue, Oak Ridge Turnpike at Tennyson Road, and Oak Ridge Turnpike at Melton Lake Drive.
There could be delays in the construction schedule due to unforeseen circumstances or bad weather, the press release said.
