Tennessee Rep. John Ragan will kick off his 2012 campaign for the state House of Representatives during a Wednesday morning ceremony in Oak Ridge.

The ceremony starts at 11 a.m. at Ragan’s campaign headquarters at 103 Jefferson Ave.

Ragan is a first-term Oak Ridge Republican who represents District 33 in Anderson County.

The Jefferson Avenue building has been used by several local conservative groups, and it’s being converted to a campaign base for Ragan, a press release said. Volunteers will meet Wednesday to organize and prepare campaign information, and sign up to help with upcoming campaign events.

Ragan will speak to volunteers, and other state and local elected officials are expected to attend.

Food and drink will be provided, the press release said.
