A former Oak Ridge city manager who now works in Bristol has been named Tennessee City Manager of the Year, according to the Bristol Herald Courier.
Jeffrey J. Broughton will receive his award during the Tennessee City Management Association’s annual awards breakfast banquet in Knoxville on June 12, the Herald Courier reported.
Broughton has been Bristol’s city manager since September 2004.
He was city manager in Oak Ridge from Oct. 8, 1986, to Oct. 3, 1995.
W. Barry Baker, Tennessee City Management Association executive director, declined comment on the award Monday, saying the TNCMA is not yet ready to announce the winner, and Broughton did not return a phone call seeking comment.
