The Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce had ribbon-cutting ceremonies last week for Minuteman Press and Curves of Oak Ridge. The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce joined the celebration at Minuteman Press on Friday, June 26.

Curves re-opens in Oak Ridge

Curves of Oak Ridge re-opened in March, with a new location at 130 Ridgeway Center, a new local owner, and new classes, a press release said.

The release said Curves is a facility specifically designed for women featuring a complete 30-minute workout that is fun, fast and safe.

“The new owner, Josee Tousignant, is thrilled about reopening the Curves now at Ridgeway Center, and is most proud to say that there will always be a ‘personal coach’ on site, which is included in the membership plan,” the release said. “One of the most appealing things about Curves is that women can complete an entire body workout designed specifically for women in 30 minutes.” [Read more…]

Creasey has meet-and-greet Saturday

Supporters and family of Jerry Creasey, a candidate for re-election to the Anderson County Commission in District 7, have a meet-and-greet on Saturday in Oak Ridge. It’s scheduled from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at 130 Ridgeway Center.

Ridgeway Center is located across the street from the Methodist Medical Center, behind the Security Square Shopping Center. There will be road markers to lead the way, a press release said.

“Jerry is looking forward to meeting you and seeing old friends,” the release said. “This is a free event, and all are welcome. Refreshments will be served.”
