ORUUC Annual Holiday Craft Fair is Sunday

The Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church Annual Holiday Craft Fair will be held on Sunday, December 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge.

A tradition in the community and a holiday favorite, the Craft Fair has become a source of inspiration and a place of diversity for those “one of a kind” gifts on one’s gift giving list, a press release said. Featured will be work of some of the region’s finest artisans working with glass, clay, wood, quilts, and other hand sewn items, and photographs.

A percentage of the sales will benefit the Senior High class. The class will hold a fund raiser lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Unitarian Universalists celebrate new church with week of free music, craft fair

The Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church is celebrating the opening of their new church with a week of music and an annual craft fair.

The new church is at 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike, on the north side of the Joe L. Evins Federal Building.

The week of music includes a performance by the Y’uns on Friday, October 17. Also beginning on October 17 and continuing on Saturday, October 18, the ORUUC will have its annual craft fair, a press release said.

The music events started Saturday, October 11, and end Sunday, October 19. The community is invited to attend, and all music events are free, the press release said. [Read more…]

Kern United has alternative gift fair on Saturday

Kern United Methodist Church has an alternative craft fair on Saturday. It starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.

A press release said the fair will offer shoppers the chance to get unique gifts that make a difference; help provide income, hope, and dignity for some of the world’s poorest people; provide stewardship of the Earth’s resources; and support local and global programs that change lives.
