Clinton church celebrates 75 years with ice cream social on Wednesday

The Clinton Church of Christ will commemorate the 75th anniversary of its first assembly on Wednesday, February 7, with an Ice Cream Social at 6 p.m. Bible Study classes will follow at 7 p.m., a press release said.

“We invite you to join with us as we celebrate!” the press release said.

Clinton Church of Christ has Friends & Family Day on Sunday, May 7

The Clinton Church of Christ has invited the community to its Friends and Family Day on Sunday, May 7.

The guest speaker will be Arthur Pigman, former pulpit minister at Clinton Church of Christ for more than 14 years and currently the pulpit minister for the Nelson Chapel Church of Christ in Maryville. Bible study is at 10 a.m., worship at 11am, fellowship lunch at 12 p.m., and an early afternoon service at 2 p.m. (church-eat-church).

Clinton Church of Christ has ‘Trunk-or-Treat’ on Halloween

The Clinton Church of Christ has a “Trunk-or-Treat” on Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, starting at 5 p.m. in the parking lot of their facility at 500 North Main Street in Clinton.

“Stop by on your trick-or-treat route and join us!” the church said.

Clinton Church of Christ has ‘A Backyard Adventure’ VBS this week

Clinton Church of Christ has its 2015 Vacation Bible School “A Backyard Adventure” this week.

There will be classes for all children’s ages—newborns through high school, a press release said. Adult class sessions will feature a different speaker each night.

The VBS started Sunday evening. It continues Monday-Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The children will begin each night with singing, go to their classes for the Bible lesson, and then gather again for snacks and a trip to the Puppet Theater, the release said. The evening will end with a craft back in their classrooms, games, and then some more singing.

“Please join us if you are able!” the release said.

Clinton Church of Christ to give away clothing on Saturday

The Clinton Church of Christ will be giving away clothing of all types this Saturday, November 8, from 9 a.m. to noon at their building at 500 North Main Street in downtown Clinton, a press release said.

All are welcome to come get as much as they need, the release said.
