The Oak Ridge Atomic Kids Triathlon starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Oak Ridge outdoor pool.

The 200-meter swim will be in the Oak Ridge Outdoor Swimming Pool. The bike ride is on Providence and Robertsville roads, and the run is on Providence Road.

Awards will go to the top male and female finishers as well as to the top three male and female in the following age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14.

The race has been organized and supported by the Oak Ridge Track Club.

Registration ends tonight. Athletes can register online at the Oak Ridge Track Club website.

About 75 athletes will be able to take part, and 60 to 65 have registered so far, organizer Dorn Kile said Thursday.

There will be no race-day registration.

Dorn said this is the triathlon’s eleventh year.
