The Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department is sponsoring a Memory Magic Scrapbook event, Scrapping on the WILD Side, at the Oak Ridge Civic Center on Sept. 27 and 28. The event will include vendors, classes, and a large crop area.

Online registration started Aug. 19 and will continue until Sept. 22. Walk-in registration will open on Sept. 27 at 8 a.m. There is limited seating in the crop area and in each class. For a listing of classes check the website listed below.

Participants will receive an event tote, light snacks during the evening hours, and tickets for prize drawings. Prizes will include Cricuts, photo scanners, scrapbook totes, scrapbooks, and other supplies. Catered dinners will be served both evenings for an additional fee. Crop spaces for both days are for paid participants only. The cost to crop is $30 for one day or $50 for both days.

Vendors will open for business by 9 a.m. each morning. Vendors include home party businesses, scrapbook stores, and general craft stores located from all over the region. The public can shop between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Shopping after 6 p.m. is for crop participants only.

Classes will be offered on Friday and Saturday. Cost for the first class is $20. There will be a discount for each additional class selected. Reduced rates for combo packages of classes and cropping will be available at registration.
