Comedy at the Grove with Tyler Gooch

Comedy at the Grove in Oak Ridge tonight (Saturday, May 12) features headliner Tyler Gooch and Cortney Warner of Nashville.

“Everyone’s favorite, hilarious Tyler Gooch has returned with a whole lot of funny!” a press release said. “Also featured is the talented Cortney Warner all the way from Nashville, along with your evening host Beth Tomkins from our sister city Knoxville.”

The doors open at 7 p.m., and show starts at 8 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase when the doors open.

“Tickets are only $10 so bring a friend, date, or family member, and help support live entertainment in the Secret City,” the press release said.

Headliner

Tyler Gooch

Tyler Gooch is a unique performer with a short attention span. Known for his quirky one-liners and offbeat word play, Tyler uses his laid back delivery to charm crowds nationwide.

Tyler has appeared on Comcast’s “Trial By Laughter” and CMT’s “Young Talent Night at The Stardome.” He was a finalist in the Rocky Top Comedy Contest and the winner of the 2014 Comedy Off Broadway Comedy Contest. He can be found every Wednesday hosting “The Wednesday Comedy Show” at The Caravan in Louisville.

Feature

Cortney Warner

Cortney Warner was born in Seoul, South Korea; raised in Cleveland, Ohio; and now calls Nashville her home. She shares stories and observations about her unconventional childhood and relates them to her adult life. Cortney has traveled around the Southeast and has performed at clubs such as Zanies, Third Coast Comedy Club, The Laughing Skull, The Punchline, Relapse Theater, and Stand Up Live. She also produces a monthly show in Nashville called “House Specials.”

Host

Beth Tomkins

Beth Tomkins stepped onto the comedy stage in 2017 after spending a couple of decades flailing in the “hellfires of I.T. support,” the press release said. She regularly participates in local and regional comedy events, applying herself to stand-up, sketch, and “improv.” Offstage, Beth spends as much time as possible with her “kiddo, her kitten, and deejaying as a volunteer at her favorite local radio station,” the release said.

Special Guests

  • Tre Pack
  • Jared Pearce

Purchase your $10 tickets online at: https://tylergoochatthegrove.brownpapertickets.com/ or at the door.

The show is at the Grove Theater at 123 Randolph Road in Grove Center.
