An armed robbery was reported in the parking lot of Burger King on Oak Ridge Turnpike on Thursday, authorities said.

The alleged robbery was reported at about 4:43 p.m. Thursday, the Oak Ridge Police Department said. It allegedly involved two suspects who fled in a vehicle, the ORPD said.

Officers searched the area for the vehicle and suspects, a press release said.

“Moments later, the vehicle was located parked at a residence on Pennsylvania Avenue, where several suspects were detained,” the release said.

Detectives responded to investigate, and more arrests are expected, the ORPD said.

“The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information will be released at this time,” the release said.

More information will be added as it becomes available.
