The Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church has a free community meal on Friday, March 27. Everyone is invited, a press release said.

The Stone Soup Ministry team will be serving a homemade meal of chili, corn muffins, cookies, and fruit. Dine-in or take-out will be available in the ORUUC Social Hall from 5 to 6 p.m. The church is located at 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge.

The Stone Soup Free Community Meal is offered on the final Friday of each month from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Church Social Hall. Community partner Kroger provides fresh fruit for the meal.

“It’s a restaurant-style atmosphere at Stone Soup. A welcoming host shows you to your table where you will be served a homemade hot and nutritious meal, including fresh fruit and a beverage. For some, attending is as much about the friendly atmosphere as it is about the meal. Everyone is welcome,” said coordinator Jinx Watson.

For more information about the Friday, March 27, meal, call the ORUUC office at (865) 483-6761.
