Beth Moore Living Proof Simulcast

First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge will simulcast well-known Bible teacher and best-selling author Beth Moore live from Fort Wayne, Indiana, on September 13, for the Oak Ridge area.

An estimated 250,000 women around the world are expected to participate in this live Internet streaming event, which will feature Moore’s dynamic storytelling and passionate Bible teaching in a down-to-earth style that is relevant to women’s lives, a press release said.

Moore has authored dozens of Bible studies, books, and devotionals specifically for women for nearly two decades. Moore’s organization, Living Proof Ministries, is based out of Houston.

“We want to welcome all women in the Oak Ridge area, no matter your faith background, to this free simulcast,” said the Rev. Crystal Smith, associate pastor at First United Methodist Church. “We hope the day will bless you and strengthen your walk in faith, and that through this event, we’ll be a blessing to other women as well.”

During the lunch break, the group is invited to participate in assembling entry kits to women entering Susanna’s House, an organization in Knoxville that aids new and expectant mothers who struggle with addiction. It offers addiction specialists, counseling, parenting classes, and other services. For a list of items to bring to benefit Susanna House, visit www.FUMCOR.org.

Dove award-winning musical artist Travis Cottrell, who also serves as worship pastor of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson, Tennessee, is slated to lead worship for the event, the press release said.

The Living Proof Live Simulcast begins at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, September 13, in the multipurpose room at First United Methodist Church, and will conclude at 4:15 p.m. Tickets are free, but lunch is $7 with a reservation.

Free childcare is available for a limited number of children with a reservation as well. You can register at www.FUMCOR.org.

The First United Methodist Church is at 1350 Oak Ridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge.
