Teen Battle of the Bands

This year’s Teen Battle of the Bands is on Friday, April 25, at the Oak Ridge Civic Center, and it will include prizes and family fun, organizers said.

It’s scheduled from 6-9 p.m. at the Civic Center Pavilion, and it’s sponsored by Y-12 Federal Credit Union and the Oak Ridge Youth Advisory Board.

If the weather is bad, the event will be held at the Paradox Teen Center on New York Avenue.

There will be restaurant vendors at the Battle of the Bands, and admission is free.

“This is a family friendly event, and everyone is welcome to attend,” a press release said.

Contest prizes for the bands include studio time, $300, and $150, an event flyer said. There will also be a water gun fight, giveaways, and outdoor games.

You can like the event on Facebook at www.facebook.com/teenbob and request more information by sending an e-mail to bands@y12fcu.org.
