A Thursday seminar at the Oak Ridge Public Library will focus on using Kindles to check out audiobooks and eBooks.

The free class will be taught by Joan Kearney, and it starts at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the library’s auditorium.

It’s the fourth class in a series of workshops designed to help the public participate in the library’s new digital media lending services, a press release said.

The release said Kearney is a Kindle enthusiast who has worked at the library since 1983, and she owns different generations of Kindles, including the Kindle Fire.

“So, if you want to learn how to access the library’s digital collection of audiobooks and eBooks, come to Joan’s presentation and bring your questions, your Kindle, and/or your device with a ‘Kindle App’ on it,” the release said.

Handouts with instructions, frequently asked questions, and more will be provided to all participants.

To register, call the Circulation Librarian at (865) 425-3455 or send her an e-mail at CircLib@oakridgetn.gov by Monday, April 1.
