The city of Oak Ridge started renovating the public restrooms near the Municipal Building Courtroom on Monday to make them compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

This work requires the relocation of plumbing fixtures, removal of existing floor tiles, installation of new tile, and paint, a city press release said.

The release said the work is being done with the least impact to the operations of the city and court, but visitors can anticipate some minor inconveniences.

In the meantime, the public will be directed to use employee restrooms. The work is scheduled to be completed in two weeks.
