Wiilliam Amon Moles Jr.
William “Bill” Amon Moles Jr., age 84, of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 29, after a brief bout of pneumonia.
He was born July 22, 1928, in Brotherton, Tenn., the son of William A. and Ermine Judd Moles.
He and his mother moved to Oak Ridge in 1944 to live with his grandmother, two aunts, and uncle after his father passed away. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1946, joined the Navy, and served on the USS Harry F. Bauer (mine-layer).
