First United Methodist has Vacation Bible School this month

First United Methodist Church of Oak Ridge will be hosting Vacation Bible School “Mighty Fortress” from June 19-22 (Monday-Thursday) from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Children from 4 years old through 5th graders are welcome. FUMC is located at 1350 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

Vacation Bible School, Free Block Party at Central Baptist starting June 11

Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge has its 2016 Vacation Bible School and a free block party starting Saturday, June 11.

“Please join us (for) Bible stories, crafts, music, and games,” a press release said.
The Submerged Block Party, which is free, is scheduled from 4-6 p.m.Saturday, June 11.

Vacation Bible School is Sunday through Thursday, June 12-16, from 6-8:45 p.m., with classes for all ages, nursery through adults. [Read more…]

Clinton Church of Christ has ‘A Backyard Adventure’ VBS this week

Clinton Church of Christ has its 2015 Vacation Bible School “A Backyard Adventure” this week.

There will be classes for all children’s ages—newborns through high school, a press release said. Adult class sessions will feature a different speaker each night.

The VBS started Sunday evening. It continues Monday-Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The children will begin each night with singing, go to their classes for the Bible lesson, and then gather again for snacks and a trip to the Puppet Theater, the release said. The evening will end with a craft back in their classrooms, games, and then some more singing.

“Please join us if you are able!” the release said.

Free Block Party, Vacation Bible School at Central Baptist this weekend

Central Baptist Church of Oak Ridge

There will be a free Block Party at Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge on Saturday. Food, games blow-ups, and music will be provided, a press release said.

The Block Party is from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

Central Baptist Church is located at 130 Providence Road.

Vacation Bible School will begin Sunday, June 7, from 6-8:45 p.m. and continue through Thursday, June 11. Classes will be held for all ages, nursery-adults. There will also be an adult Spanish speaking class.

Vacation Bible School at First Presbyterian on June 12-13

“Abundant Life” is the theme of the free Vacation Bible School at First Presbyterian Church of Oak Ridge. The VBS will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday and Friday, June 12-13, in the Activities building.

“Learning to care about God’s creation will be our emphasis,” said Karissa Stewart, director of youth and children’s ministries at First Presbyterian.

Parents may drop off their children ranging in age from pre-K to fourth grade between 8 and 9 a.m. and pick them up between 4 and 5 p.m.

The children will learn about creation through crafts, music, games, and storytelling. Volunteers are needed to assist with the crafts and games. Call (865) 483-1318 to register your child for the VBS.

Camp Creation July 11-12 at First Presbyterian

This summer, vacation Bible school at First Presbyterian Church for children two years old through rising fifth-grade students will have a new twist.
