With April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Crisis Center has joined with Abuse Alternatives to present the 3rd annual “The Clothesline Project: Quilting Together Recovery” on Saturday, April 13, in Bristol, Tenn.

This event, which honors women who have been affected by sexual and domestic violence, runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and takes place at “Downtown Center” Farmer’s Market/Mural park on State Street in Downtown Bristol. Oak Ridger Mare Martell is one of the speakers. [Read more…]

Domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking affect all age groups, including adolescents.

February is “Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month.” This month should raise awareness and focus efforts to break the cycle of violence to young victims, their families, and communities.
