Sarah Elizabeth “Lizzie” Phillips, age 61, a resident of Oliver Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 7, at Methodist Medical Center.

Ms. Phillips was born April 11, 1952, in the New River Community of Anderson County. She continued living on New River until her move to Oliver Springs in 2002.

Elizabeth was a faithful Christian and a member of New Mountain View Baptist Church. She was a former member and worshiped at Rock Hill Baptist Church on New River for most of her life. She loved spending time with family and friends, attending worship service and singing.

Ms. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents, Bart Phillips and Opal Mae Graham Phillips, and by two brothers, Danny and Robert Phillips. [Read more…]
