Ray Clifford Bolton, age 73, of Harriman, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at his home.

He was born Jan. 8, 1941, in Lafollette, the son of Birdie McKinley Bolton and Georgia Jones Bolton, who have both preceded him in death.

Mr. Bolton was a 1959 graduate of Fairmont West High School in Kettering, Ohio. He retired from the U.S. Navy, where he was a cryptologic technician senior chief. After he retired from the military, he obtained an associate degree from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y., and worked as a registered nurse at the Methodist Medical Center and Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary.
