Michael Robert Ford, 49, of Knoxville, formerly of Oliver Springs, June 8, 1973-January 22, 2023. Born in Oak Ridge, graduated from Clinton High School in 1991, and an avid Tennessee and Atlanta Braves sports fan. Read his obituary here.

Catherine Wallace Rutherford, 91, of Clinton, January 6, 1932-January 22, 2023. Born in Anderson County, worked in the Anderson County Clerk’s office for 16 years. Read her obituary here.

Andre Dominique Fritts, 37, January 19, 1986-January 22, 2023. Served in the U.S. Army Reserve, a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, and father. Read his obituary here.

Robbie Thomas “Robbie” Marth, 29, August 25, 1993-January 21, 2023. Family gives special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the CCU at Parkwest Medical Center, especially Ryan T. Read his obituary here.

Jennifer Lyn Smith, age 34, of Clinton, October 5, 1988-January 21, 2023. Jennifer loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Redemption Church in Knoxville. Read her obituary here.

Sue Worthington White, age 82, March 28, 1940-January 21, 2023. Graduated from Oak Ridge High School, Class of 1958, and worked as a substitute teacher in the 1980s and 1990s, mostly at Clinton High School, where she was fondly known as “Momma White.” Read her obituary here.

Virginia Lee Tokes, age, 89, of Clinton, June 24, 1933-January 20, 2023. Joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, worked for BF Goodrich Tire Co. and later Roadway Trucking Co. after leaving the service, moved to Clinton after retiring to be close to her siblings. Read her obituary here.

Oak Ridge: Hetty Louise Karels van Eek, age 88; John (Jan) Herman van Eek, age 90

Best friends and soulmates, Hetty passed away on December 31, 2019, and Jan passed away on April 6, 2020. Though they were separated the last few months with lengthy illnesses, they never stopped asking about one another. They were married on May 31, 1956, in The Hague, The Netherlands, and they would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on May 31, 2020.

Hetty was born in The Hague, The Netherlands, on March 7, 1931, to Willem and Catharina Karels. Jan was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, on January 9, 1930, to Herman and Petronella van Eek.

They grew up in The Netherlands and survived World War II. They immigrated to the United States in 1960. One of their proudest moments was becoming American citizens in 1967 and being able to both have careers. Jan retired from Y-12 and Hetty retired from EG&G Ortec, both after several years of employment.

Justine Martha Reagan, age 90, passed away May 31, 2016, at her home in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She worked at Millers Department Store and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Oak Ridge. Visiting, funeral service, and lunch will be at St. Mary’s Church starting at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 08, 2016. Sallie Francis Morris, 92, reunited with all her siblings and entered into the Lord’s rest on Thursday, June 2, 2016. She lived in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Visitation was Monday, June, 2016, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Christ Community Church in Oak Ridge, followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. Read the full obituary here.

Ruth M. Ritter, 96, of Oak Ridge passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016. She came to Oak Ridge from Kentucky during the war and was of Baptist faith. She was the general manager of Clark Jones Music for many years until she was transferred to the main headquarter in Cincinnati. While working in Oak Ridge, she was a member of the Downtown Business Council. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 8, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary.
