Kandice “Kandi” Leann Steele, age 38, of Oak Ridge, passed away in her home Friday, April 10.

Kandi was preceded in death by her grandmother (on her mother’s side) Frances R. Dixon, and grandmother (father’s side) Annie Sue Steele and grandfather William Bud Steele.

Kandi was well known in the Oak Ridge area for her love of reading, animals, and random acts of kindness, and she always believed in “pay it forward” where she would go out of her way to help the needy or even give food to a homeless person.
