A 35-year-old Clinton man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a robbery was reported in Claxton, authorities said.

Anderson County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to Bull Run Park on New Henderson Road at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a robbery of an individual. A Claxton woman stated she had been robbed at gunpoint by someone she had known for about six months, Chief Deputy Mark Lucas said.

Bradley Ray Perkins, 35, of Fowler Lane in Clinton, allegedly called the victim and asked to borrow some money for food, Lucas said. She met Perkins at the park, where he was reported to have displayed a handgun and robbed her of $250, Lucas said. [Read more…]
