Teen Battle of the Bands in Oak Ridge on Friday

The annual Battle of the Teen Bands is this evening (Friday, April 24).

It’s been organized by Y-12 Federal Credit Union and the Oak Ridge Youth Advisory Board.

The Battle of the Bands is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. today at the Oak Ridge Civic Center Pavilion. The rain venue will be the Paradox Teen Center in Oak Ridge.

Prizes are studio time (a $1,000 value), $300, and $150.

Battle of the Teen Bands

One of nine local bands compete in Oak Ridge on Friday in Battle of the Teen Bands. Prizes included gift cards and recording studio time at Big Head Records studio at Heritage Fellowship Church.

Busy weekend in Oak Ridge starts Friday

It’s going to be a busy weekend in Oak Ridge.

There is an Earth Day festival and Battle of the Teen Bands at the Civic Center, a Community Share Day in Scarboro, and Celebration of the Young Child at the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge.

Chicago opens at the Oak Ridge Playhouse on Friday, the Oak Ridge Chorus performs Saturday, and the Dogwood Sprints regatta will be at the Oak Ridge Marina on Saturday and Sunday.
