Pet of the Day: Alysse

Submitted

I am one sweet and precious little Alysse. I am low-key, quiet, and friendly.

They were loving on me in the shelter, but I got very blue, and Miss Bev decided to get me outta here for some spa R&R in a foster home.

I would be perfect for your lap. Yes, I am front declawed (please don’t do that) and so I must be an indoor only cat! [Read more…]

I am the most handsome Smokey and very pettable two-year old neutered male.

They tell me that my eyes are magnetic and will pull you in…is it working for you? I was surrendered with my two siblings, and that makes my heart hurt. But it can be mended when you scoop me up and promise me forever. Will you?

Pet of the Day: Hercules

Submitted

I am a beautiful black and tan coonhound—named Hercules, of course—cause I’m such a marvelous specimen of a good dog.

When I came in, I had apparently had it out with a coon or two, but that just means I’ve been a great hunter for my owner. I’m super super friendly, and would love to be in your yard, or in your lap. I am available!

Fee is sponsored at 50 percent! (AS/AB) [Read more…]

Ivan can’t figure out why no one loves him. We showed him some love and made him the Cat of the Day for Thursday.

We hope one of you out there will show him he’s loved by adopting him. That would be the ultimate gift, the gift of a forever home of his own.

He’s a complete lovebug that would love a home where he is the only feline. He’s been waiting for the right person to come along and sweep him off his feet. Your reward will be unconditional love, gratitude, and head butts. Pretty sweet deal if you ask us. [Read more…]

By Oak Ridge Today Letters Leave a Comment

To the Editor:

Tennessee Voters for Animal Protection—a non-partisan, grassroots political action committee—announced their endorsement of Lauren Biloski for Anderson County Juvenile Court Judge on Tuesday.

“Lauren Biloski has been a consistent advocate for animals through her animal rescue work as well as representing rescue groups in a legal capacity, said Anjie Crow, TVAP’s president. “If elected as Juvenile Court judge, Bilsoki plans to bring the H.A.B.I.T. program into Court, which would allow animals to calm children who are testifying. She would also be tough on juveniles who commit crimes against animals and get them the help they need.” [Read more…]
