Bertha M. Keller

Bertha M. Keller, age 91, a resident of Oak Ridge, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, at Renaissance Terrace HCC in Harriman.

Mrs. Keller was born March 26, 1921, in Athens, Tenn.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Ridge.

Before her retirement, she was employed as the hostess at Oak Terrace Restaurant in Oak Ridge.

Mrs. Keller was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Sally Haney; by her husband, George Edward “GE” Keller; by a son, Clinton Eugene “Buddy” Moses; by a grandchild, Cindy Catron; by a sister, Iona Baker; and by brothers, Reed and Melvin Haney.

She is survived by a daughter, Shelva Dean Stevens of Rockwood; by a son, Jerry William Moses and wife Melissa of Oak Ridge; by 12 grandchildren; by 17 great-grandchildren; and by Alicia and Davonte, whom she considered as her own children.

She is also survived by a brother, E.W. Haney and wife Bess; by sisters, Dot Poole, Glenna Smith, Jean Hicks and husband Walter, June Durham and husband Jim, and Faye Byssie all of Chattanooga, and by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family received friends, Tuesday, Oct. 2, between noon and 2 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Steve McDonald officiating. Burial and graveside services followed at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
