Anne Carolyn Simpson

Anne Carolyn Simpson, 57, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, Sept. 26.

She was born January 15, 1955, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of Robert Green Simpson Jr. and Marion Wobbe Simpson.

She was a member of the House Mountain Church of Christ and former member of Northside Church of Christ. Anne enjoyed collecting writing pens, working puzzle books, movies, going to restaurants, walking, and traveling. She especially enjoyed being involved with her family and their activities.

She is survived by brothers, Robert Green Simpson III of Auburn, Ala., and William D. Simpson and wife Maria of Oak Ridge; and nieces and nephews, Laura Anne Matlock and husband David of Blackfoot, Idaho, W. David Simpson Jr. and wife Rachel of Auburn, Ala., Kathryn Lynn Taplin and husband Ash of Forest Grove, Ore., and Kevin Robert Simpson and wife Kimzey of Birmingham, Ala.

The family received friends on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 2–4 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. A brief service followed at 4 p.m. with David Clark officiating.

The family also received friends on Sunday, Sept. 30, from 2–3:30 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home in Louisville, Ky., with a brief service following at 3:30 p.m. with Reggie Robarts officiating.

Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

The family asks that memorials be made to the Emory Valley Center Building Fund, 683 Emory Valley Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
