The Eighth Annual Farragut Food & Wine Festival will be Friday, May 5. It’s presented by TDS and hosted by the Farragut Business Alliance and Town of Farragut.
The festival includes food, drink, and fun, a press release said.
“Eight super-sized tents, three generators, one stage complete with band, 60 volunteers, over two dozen restaurants, and eight purveyors of adult beverages help to create one of the most exciting evenings eagerly anticipated every year,” the press release said. “The Farragut Food and Wine Festival has proved to have a regional draw of more than 1,000 food and fun lovers.”
The festival is scheduled from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, on the lawn of Renaissance—Farragut at 12700 Kingston Pike, with the help of a dozen business sponsors, the press release said.
The goal is to showcase Farragut’s culinary arts, the press release said.
“The festival was created to draw attention to our eateries,” said Stephen Krempasky, Farragut Business Alliance’s new executive director. “From hometown bakeries to four-star experiences, it is a showcase of ‘best bite’ samples from Farragut’s area restaurants and food providers. Then patrons can pair those bites with wines, beers, and ready-to-drink cocktails (identification required) from Farragut’s wine stores and their distributors. We know once attendees try these delicious samples, they will return—with friends—to visit these businesses in Farragut and enjoy more!â€
The popular beer lounge and exclusive “VIB,†or “Very Important Bites,†tents are back this year, the press release said. New to this year’s event will be live entertainment, featuring The Coveralls.
General admission tickets are $30 for adults (if purchased in advance) or $35 if purchased at the gate. VIB seats are limited to the first 64 sold and are $75. Admission for children under 12 is $10 in advance or $15 at the gate, with children under 5 free.
Tickets will go on-sale Friday, March 17. They are available at all Knoxville Ticket locations, online at www.knoxvilletickets.com, and by phoning (865) 656-4444 or stopping by these Farragut merchants:
