In celebration of Constitution Day, Roane State Community College will screen Alexandra Pelosi’s documentary “Citizen U.S.A.: A 50 State Road Trip” on Monday, Sept. 17, at the college’s Oak Ridge campus.

Pelosi visited all 50 states and interviewed dozens of immigrant Americans on the day they took the oath of citizenship. The screening will be held at 1 p.m. in the City Room.

A discussion will follow the film. The event is free and open to the public.

Constitution Day is observed on Sept. 17, the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in 1787. Educational institutions across the country provide activities related to the history of the Constitution on that day.

For more information, contact Roane State history professor Casey Cobb at cobbcc@roanestate.edu or (865) 481-2000, ext. 2205.
