Tommie Turpin Ferguson

Tommie Turpin Ferguson, age 80, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, Sept. 10.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Ferguson; by an infant son; and by an infant granddaughter.

Tommie is survived by her children, Martha (Danny Sr.) Gibson of Knoxville, Eddie Ferguson of Knoxville, Rose (Jeff) Seivers of Clinton, Gina (Harry) Stevenson of Alaska, Lisa Bright-Walters of Knoxville, and Robby Ferguson of Knoxville; by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; by a sister, Peggy Arnold; sisters-in-law, Josephine Ferguson and Betty Ammons; and by a bother-in-law, Bobby Ferguson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 13, between 6 and 8 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 8 p.m., in the funeral home chapel.

Burial and graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m., at the New Fairview Cemetery in Oliver Springs.
