Madie Mack

Madie Mack, age 91, of Clinton, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, at her residence.

Madie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She enjoyed gospel music, listening to Charles Stanley, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. Madie was known for making the best biscuits ever. Her favorite quote was “Is to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” She was a member of Blowing Springs Baptist Church.

Madie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Mack; son, Clifton Regie Mack; and four brothers and one sister.

Madie is survived by her son, Harold Mack and wife Lela of Clinton; daughter, Dorothy Mack of Clinton; sister, Agnes Hunley of Knoxville; brother, Luke Miller of Ind.; grandchildren, Regina Long and husband Donald, Harold Mack Jr., Stacey Allen and husband Joe, Gwen Green and husband Bill, Clifton Mack and wife Zara, Eric Mack and wife Pam, Shannon Ridenour and husband Jimmy, Mike Williams, Nicole Hopper and husband Ron, Daniella Purcell and husband Brandon, Reba Mack, Laci Connell and husband Nick, and Brooklin, Madison, Shyane, Rebecca, Holly, Grace, and Lily Mack; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-children.

Madie’s special caretakers were her granddaughters, Stacey Allen and Gwen Green, with help from great-granddaughter Rachel White.

Madie’s family will receive her friends on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 6–8 p.m. with her celebration of life following at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Don Whited and Pastor Clayton Duncan officiating.

Her interment will be Monday, Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. at the Bakers Forge Cemetery in LaFollette.

Jones Mortuary in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
