Oak Ridge plays in District 3-AAA girls’ soccer semifinal game on Tuesday

The Oak Ridge Lady Wildcats soccer team will play in a District 3-AAA semifinal tournament game at home on Tuesday.

Oak Ridge (10-6-1, 3-1), the number two seed, will play Central (16-0-1, 6-0), the number three seed, at Oak Ridge High School at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Central (16-0-1, 6-0) beat Gibbs 1-0 on Saturday to advance to the seminal game against Oak Ridge. Gibbs was the number six seed.

Oak Ridge and Central did not play during the regular season.

In the other semifinal game on Tuesday, Powell (10-3-1, 4-0 District 3-AAA), the number one seed, will play Karns (10-6-1, 5-3), the number four seed, at Powell at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Karns beat Halls 2-0 on Saturday to advance to the semifinal game against Powell. Halls was the number five seed.

Powell beat Karns 5-0 on September 22 during the regular season.

Oak Ridge and Powell, the top two seeds, both had first-round byes.

The winners of the semifinal games on Tuesday will play for the District 3-AAA championship on Thursday or Friday.
