Faye Sharp McNabb

Faye Sharp McNabb, 80, of Oak Ridge passed away Friday, Aug. 31, at her home.

She was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Decatur, Ala., the daughter of Richard H. and Audrey Waddell Sharp.

She graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1951.

Mrs. McNabb worked for many years as a medical receptionist. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. McNabb was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Lady Vols.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Harvey Sharp.

She is survived by daughters, Mitzi Thomas and husband Hughie, and Mindy McNabb and partner, Nancy Parker, all of Oak Ridge; sisters, Olene Rhoades of Largo, Fla., and Dot Hunter of Nashville; sister-in-law, Jo Sharp of Oak Ridge; grandsons, Ben Thomas and Bradley Thomas of Oak Ridge; special friends, Lena Parker and Vay Davis of Oak Ridge; special nieces and nephew, Betty Wallace of Knoxville, Vicki Askew of Nashville, and Rich Hunter of Cleveland, Ohio; and her faithful canine companion, Molly.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family requests that any memorials be made to the Oak Ridge Humane Society, 969 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
