The Oak Ridge High School Boys Basketball Boosters has a fundraising golf tournament on August 13.
The 19th annual golf tournament is a four-man scramble format that will be held at Centennial Golf Course in Oak Ridge. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. August 13 with a shotgun start.
The tournament costs just $75 per person. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with breakfast and free range balls for participants. A Mulligan Package is also available for $25, which includes mulligans, a red tee, a door prize ticket, and a putting contest ticket, a press release said.
There will be prizes awarded to the teams finishing first in the top two flights, as well as awards for the closest-to-the-pin on three different holes. In addition, a longest drive competition will be part of the tournament.
All proceeds will go to help fund the 2016-2017 boys basketball team at Oak Ridge High School, which hopes to bring home the state championship this season, the press release said.
A lunch sponsored by Popeye’s Catering, will be held for all players at the conclusion of the event. Golf teams and hole sponsors are still needed.
