Edward Paul Trowbridge

Edward Paul Trowbridge, 76, Oak Ridge, passed away on Aug. 19.

He was born to parents Charles and Dossie Stephens Trowbridge in LaFollette on March 23, 1936.

Edward retired from Martin Marietta, X-10 facility as an engineering technician for 45 years. He was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Corbin Trowbridge; brother, Donald Trowbridge (Margie); sister, Annette Epps (Don); and he also leaves a son, Edward Jr., and daughters, Sharon Morrow (Randy) and Kristi Anderson (Joey). In addition, he leaves nine adoring grandchildren, Tiffany Patterson (Nick), Travis Morrow (Amy), Terica Merdanovic, Alex Trowbridge (Megan), Tyler Morrow, Ragan and Rylee Anderson, Colton and Eli Trowbridge; great-grandchildren, Maria Morrow, Camron Patterson, twins Mason and Ansley Merdanovic, and Davis Morrow; brothers-in law, Frank Corbin (Ralphine), Don Corbin (Sharon); and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

The family received friends Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge from 6 to 8 p.m. and the service followed. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Woodlawn Cemetery in LaFollette.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Edward to the Alzheimer’s Association Eastern Tennessee, 200 Prosperity Drive, Knoxville, TN 37923.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff of The Bridge of Rockwood for their compassion and loving care for Edward during his illness.
