Sharon Dian Sundberg

Sharon Dian Sundberg, 71, of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, after a brief illness.

She was born in California and grew up in Greeley, Colo., where she graduated from Eaton High School in 1958.

She worked for the Greeley Colorado Tribune, where she met and married David Alan Sundberg of Johnstown, Colo., in 1961. They moved to Los Alamos, N.M., in 1962; to Chicago, Ill., in 1964; and settled in Oak Ridge in 1966.

Ms. Sundberg worked for EG&G Ortec, which became Perkin Elmer and eventually Ametek from 1975 to 2010.

She is survived by her sons, Eric Sundberg and his wife Sherry of Elkhart, Ind., and Andrew Sundberg of Aurora, Colo.; and granddaughter, Sarah Sundberg of Elkhart, Ind.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. with Dr. Randy Hammer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Oak Ridge Public Library, 1401 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
