Three Oak Ridge Wildcats and players from Clinton, Karns, Farragut, and Sevier County have been named to the East All-Stars roster for the 2015 Toyota East vs. West Tennessee All-Star Classic.
The Oak Ridge players are Alex Alcorn (offensive guard), Davon Middleton (cornerback), and Brandon Nickle (kicker).
Tyler Thackerson of Clinton and Deuce Wallace of Sevier County were named quarterbacks for the East.
The game is for seniors only.
Other area Class 5A players named to the East All-Stars roster are DeAndre Delaney of Morristown West (running back), Devante Matthews of Sevier County and Tre Carter of Soddy-Daisy (wide receivers), Jordan Seal of Morristown East (center), Calvin Smith of Morristown West (safety), Rashun Freeman of Ooltewah (cornerback), Tyler Pendleton of Rhea County (inside linebacker), Devin Harper of Karns (outside linebacker), and Cole Strange of Farragut (defensive end).
The rosters were released Monday. The game, matching up seniors from across the state, will be played December 11 at Tennessee Tech.
Other area players who made the East roster are running back Jeremiah Howard of Knoxville Central (4A), wide receivers Kelby Brock of Maryville (6A) and Phillip Nichols of Christian Academy of Knoxville (4A), tight end Andrew Craig of Webb (Division II), offensive guard Lakin McCall of Maryville (6A), safety Dustin Clabough of Alcoa (3A), safety Wade Sluss of Grace Christian Academy (2A), inside linebacker Austin Pope of CAK (3A), outside linebacker De’Ontay Tate of Fulton (4A), linebacker Agustus Fortune of Knoxville Catholic (4A), and defensive end Matthew McClurg and defensive tackle Jon Decker, both of Alcoa (3A).
The East All-Stars team will be coached by Shawn Witten of Elizabethon. The offensive coordinator is Justin Price of Campbell County, and the defensive coordinator is Tony Lambert of Oneida. Asssistant coaches are Mike Mays (Tennessee), Randy McKamey (Grace Christian), Bryson Rosser (Central), David Watson (Blackman), and Ryan Witten (Elizabethton).
